I have emailed Neenah twice with no reply, asked my supplier who just said it's trial and error. I can get either of these for a good price and have to choose. Budget will not allow for an Oki etc. I have searched and read about the C500N here first, some great, others had big problems with jamming. Were these ever addressed? Advice on which one would be best to use with this paper greatly appreciated, many thanks.

Imageclip imaging paper does not have polymer coating so jamming should not be an issue provided that is fed one sheet at a time in a manual feed tray, the printer has straight paper passage from the input tray to the rear tray. The paper is glossy that can slip if it has to go through bends in the paper path. Rear exit is not as important as the manual feed. I do not have problem if use the regular exit path.
I would suggest for you get or buy sample Imageclip and take it to print/copy depot that has model or close enough to the printers of interest and try printing on the paper. Make sure you ask to set the media weight to the highest setting. Ultra Heavy, card stock or the highest setting. Otherwise the toner will have trouble fusing on the paper.

I have had quite a few emails from Charlie at Neenah now and have to say he was extemely helpful. He even arranged some tests especially for me, top service. This is what he had to say re the models mentioned.

The C500N is a discontinued printer. It also was a re-branded product so the engine is not Lexmark technology. You may want to consider some other options as toner cartridges and support for that printer could be hard to get.
Also in quick trials at Lexmark the printer did have some jamming issues with our products.
We have the Xerox 6180 and the Oki 6100 in our labs and they work great with Image Clip. Also Lexmark is launching a new printer the C544 that looks promising but they have not sent it to us yet for testing.

was the samsung. this is not to say charlie doesn't know his business, i just haven't experienced any issues except the one mentioned. good luck in ur hunt.
