Alps uses thermal wax ink. Wax is not a good material for the polymer of the green sheet of Imageclip to adhere to. That is why Xerox solid ink printer will not work either. You can try though. Get sample first and try it so you don't waste a lot of money if it does not work. An alternative to laser printer is laser copier. Print the image on plain paper with Alps or inkjet printer and have it copied on the red sheet of Imageclip. Don't tell the Copy depot operator that the red sheet is a heat transfer paper or the operator will not do it for you. Tell the operator to manually feed single sheet in bypass mode. Set the media to heaviest setting in the copier.

I love thermal wax printers. My first life was designing the first ones for QMS.
I don't think that the new papers will work.
You could call and we can send samples.

Hey David,

My first printer was a Seiko Personal Colorprint SE. As a matter of fact I use to buy the ink ribbons from Conde. It is too bad Seiko discontinued the ribbons. If you know where I can get it or an alternate brand please let me know. I still have the printer.

Thanks.
