I'm looking models of color laser printers that work with imageclip. I have read often that Okidata is the best option, but Okidata is not available in Indian market. So I'm looking for other brands/models that would work well with image clip that I can get in India. Few available brands in India are Xerox, Canon, Samsung etc
I have read people using Samsung. Theoretically any laser transfer oil or oil-less type laser printer will work with Imageclip. The imaging sheet of transfer paper does not have polymer coating that can cause jamming due to the polymer melting because of the hot fuser. The imaging sheet requires hot fuser setting anyway to properly fuse the toner on the paper. What I would suggest is take some Imageclip imaging sheet to the printer store. Have a demo print on the transfer. Then press per instructions and do few test washes to see how the toner holds up. Try any or all the printers that you mentioned. Stay away from Xerox with solid ink. It will not work. Another option is use a color laser copier from a copy depot.

Sounds like you ran the green back paper thru your printer. That's the problem. Only red back paper goes thru the printer. Oki toner is best for durability when washing.
My buddy and I just tried the image clip light. DON'T use a Xerox Phaser printer!!! You'll be purchasing a new fuser just like me. Xerox is too hot and to fast.
Currently looking at Richo or Okidata as a seperate printer for image clip paper.
I learned the hard way, and yes, red paper was put through printer on heavy stock settings.
The one sheet we were able to get through the printer, worked slick and the transfer came out fabulous.
Well - It was a $230 mistake! Live and learn. At least I can replace the fuser in the Xerox! In talking with a rep. from a couple of different companies about the image clip paper. It seems both reps leaned towards the Okidata printers. Both stated to never use Image Clip on HP printers! But any printer used with Image Clip must be slower than 35 pages per minute. SO the Oki printers at 20-25 ppm work well.
Learn something new every day. This time, it just cost me some cash!
I've been running image clip in my Ricoh Aficio with no problems. This printer seems to work well with most of the papers i've tried so far. Colors are great and washability is very good. I've also used Cannon printers in the past with great results. Talk to the paper reps and then the printer reps and see if they cross paths.

I've found that setting the paper type to Coated 2 has work best for me. Hope this helps others. Currently looking for a new printer for transfers, checking into the Oki's.
