Hi, new kornit user here.

We have been trying to get a brigher white on our 932nds. Currently using onyx rip as suggested by Kornit. We can get a pretty decent final white using underbase at 100% and highlight at 100% but for yellows that need a bright white underbase we cannot seem to get them bright enough.

Anyone have any ideas? More pretreat? Higher pretreat to water ratio? 636x636 instead of 636x363?

I am leary of just trying the above, I can't afford to break the machine

Hi.

Can you check the amount of white created in the yellows? Some times if you put down too much of white it can mess up the brightness of the yellow. Just check the percentage and let me know.

few things u wanna look at :

1, try playing with the diff. level of pretreat ( vinegar !). my experience is to lay as much as you can but not bleeding the print.
2,double white underbase each time abt 85% to 90%, u need to do some experiments.

Diff fabric reacts differently to 1 and 2 above. hope this help

In regard to:

1) Been trying though I do see huge differences in each style/color as far as spray settings go.
2) We double white everything.

As for the pretreat being vinegar, do you mean the smell? We have gotten our dryer calibrated right as to not have that vinegar smell when cured.

1, yes ! to me it seems to be another form of art and skill in learning just to play with these variables: level of pretreat spray and diff fabrics and color !

2,yes the pretreat vinegar smell wl go away after proper curing.
