Is anyone else experiencing white ink ghosting or bleeding on colored garments?
I have a Kornit 931 and for the last year we have been dealing with white ink that bleeds or ghosts around the image. It is especially bad on certain colors but happens on all colors. I have to lower the white underbase so much that the print image becomes dull. Even at low levels of white you see the ghosting. Am I the only one? It didn't use to be like this, it happened all of a sudden on day and has been that way since. I swear its the white ink. I think they tried to make is less viscous so it wouldn't clog, but now it is too runny.
We have been in contact with Israel and Efi, also with Lyle and Paul at the North American site. We have had techs come out and no one has an answer. Kornit is basically ignoring us. They keep dropping the ball on support and passing us around to different people who all stop contacting us.
I would like to know if other printers are having the same problem. I know of at least on other in CA.

I know that feeling.
Not sure this will help your situation, but we found that when the white ink bled, it was always the highlight white pass. We had to turn our highlght white down to solve the problem.
Maybe Justin will see this and comment. He is the resident Kornit guru.
Are you running a 931 with solvent based white inks?
Yes, we stopped using the highlight too. That resulted in a dried up head due to misuse so I now I try to use them both equally and just balance the amount of white I use. But the problem is really more than that because we used to be able to use all the white we wanted (100% underbase and highlight pritg double white) with now problems at all. Then with the next shipment of ink (still 1.6) it started bleeding like crazy and has ever since. We had to go back and modify all the files we had been running for the previous year just to adjust for the bleeding.
I had a 932D. It appears the change in the ink formulation is what has caused your issues. I feel your pain. It is frustrating when the manufacturer cannot provide the solution. We actually had the head engineer from Israel at our shop for two days, and he could not fix the issues on our unit. As a result, we no longer have it.
