Eric (current Flexi owner, friend for some time now) is coming over to my shop sometime in the coming week to print some samples on my Kornit. He is bringing some cool stuff he printed on his Flexi as well, using the newer 720 DCMYK printing mode that was unavailable when I owned my Flexi. I have seen pictures of his work, and it is fantastic!
It is simply one more example of how properly prepared (and printed) artwork can be made to achieve its full potential in the hands of a patient, and qualified machine operator. Here is a picture of an image printed both on a Kornit, and a Flexi Jet from months ago:
Also, Kornit has recently introduced water-based Inks correct? Does anyone have one of these? I'd like to see a print off between the 2 types of Kornit Inks as well as the difference between a Kornit water-based and another DTG such as (DTG, T-Jet, Flexi, etc.).
Eric and I have found it very difficult to have our printoff, because we have not been able to coordinate timing for him to come down here. Apparently we are BOTH very busy! However, he did send me a couple shirts he printed at 720x720 DCMYK, and the results were FANTASTIC. Seriously, they blew me away - I NEVER thought an Epson machine could print that well on a t-shirt, and I used to own the exact same machine!
I am not a true believer in using the Epson machines to print lights, and to simply get several less expensive ones so you can run everything at 720 squared, DCMYK - the results are unparalleled.
As for the WB inks, all Kornits manufactured within the past 6 months or so have the WB inks to my knowledge.

Yep, my fault. Last I remember, I was supposed to send Justin a CMYK file, not a RGB file.
I will try to get the file to you this weekend. I have to work in the shop a bit, (Mr. Versacamm is moving in), but I should be able to get it done.
BTW, I have not seen anything rival the 720x720 DCMYK out of a Flexi-Jet (except for screen-printing). I am very interested in seeing the Kornit version of the logo.
Printzilla, if you are interested, I can send you the same file as well for comparison. You can be "Angel Eyes" (AKA - "The Bad")...

Thank you Justin, now wait till you see what's happing in the white ink departments, it will knock your entire sandals off and then some!
I have a question about the DCMYK, isn't that similar to just printing 2 passes of 720x720 on a T-jet or Kiosk? I found that 2 passes of 720x720 over saturates the print and changes the colors which is always a concern for our customers.
