Inkflex Dark from SGS Just purchased some Inkflex Dark paper from SGS which is listed on another thread as rebranded Ironall. I noticed that the paper is a little different than the IyaJetDark, another rebranded Ironall. The Inflex has a rougher texture and the backing paper doesn't have the plastic shiny backing. The backing paper feels more like paper and the good thing is that there is less curl, therefore less feeding problems. I didn't even have to roll this paper before feeding. We'll see if the paper starts curling from the humidity.
Printing yielded an image that concerned me at first because I could see that the ink was uneven due to the rough texture however, when pressed, the transfer on the shirt was good.
I would avoid pressing with the teflon sheet. Since the texture is slightly rough, the high spots will by shiny and the low spots that don't make contact with the teflon sheet will be dull, therefore, a more even image is achieved when pressing with just the parchment paper.
The cost of the paper is less than even the cheapest of other dealers. SGS is calling this their house brand paper for darks.
Anyone else try this paper? |
