Help needed with a paper problem Hi everyone,
I am new to this and hope that I am posting in the right area.
I am attempting to make sublimation pet id tags. Currently working with a Epson C88+, Geo Knight press, Tex Print XP paper, double sided pet tags, and unfortunately some unknown sublimation ink.
When I print my tags, they appear to have somewhat of a film once they are pressed. It's hard to describe, but almost like a soap scum that covers the image. You can't feel it, but can see it on the final product. I have had 2 tags come out clear without this filmy appearance, however didn't make note of what I did differently during the pressing.
I don't believe the image film is caused by movement during pressing as I have tried both not using tack adhesive and using adhesive.
I don't know if this is an ink issue or paper issue. Could be both. I did just press one tag, this time I had cut off the paper a bit and you can see a clear difference between where the paper was and where I had cut it smaller than the tag.
I have experimented a bit with my heat and times, and haven't noticed a difference. Heating now at about 400 degrees for 80 seconds.
Does anyone know what I can do for a clear image?
Many thanks!
