Default one tiny spec missing when transferring

I use Jetpro Soft and an epson 1400. Most of the time that works great but when I do an image with a lot of ink coverage I'll find one tiny spec won't transfer right. I peel the paper back and there will be one white dot in the design from where it didn't transfer right. It's a real pain because the shirt and transfer is wasted.
I won't ship shirts that way. I normally just donate them to the homeless or whatever but I go through a lot of shirts that way on images that have a lot of ink. I've tried different brand shirts but it doesn't seem to make a difference.
On baby onesies that I have more of a rib to them, it never happens but on t-shirts from Anvil, Gildan, Jerzees etc... it happens to me often.
Any suggestions?

It is probably due to lint on the shirt. Gildan especially is known to have lint issues which is causing void spots in the tranferred image. Use a lint remover before pressing the transfer. Ribbed fabric has to be stretched so that the material between the ribs are exposed to the heat transfer paper. Use a teflon pillow larger than the onsie to keep it stretched when pressing.

That happens with me sometimes & yes, it is lint. I have an assortment of colored permanent markers that I use when needed & cover the spot up. It works pretty good & I am very picky.

What brand permanent marker are you using?

Have that same lint problem with Hanes shirts. I give my t's a few shakes before stretching and sometimes I'll see a little piece of lint fly off. I haven't tried a lint roller, I think that would work great. I have used a lint roller on my transfers or blow on them gently if I see any lint/dust that has landed on it prior to pressing. I have used a permanent marker to correct dots but only have black and have saved a few shirts using it. I usually test out my designs on size large and any flaw will end up being one of my fishing shirts.

Mike, try a dollar store for lint rollers, I bought a handle and 3 refills for a 1.00. I lint roll every shirt after a shake. Mike

I've been using a roller lately. Seems to work pretty well. I still waste more shirts than I'd like but it's really about doing volume. I'd rather toss it and move on. I have done the marker thing at times but only with black.
I've got one particular design and it's pretty popular. I'm always making them and it often loses a spec right in the red ink. Drives me crazy.
I always wonder about these mall kiosks. How often do they print and get bands or press and have a lint problem? I woudln't want to be doing it infront of a customer.

I've had this happen when there is a flake on the paper. After the paper is printed, the flake falls off, leaving the bare white paper beneath, and a bare spot on the shirt. I lint roll the shirts and check the paper before it goes into the printer....drives me nuts.

I have improved my situation a little. I used to press first for a few seconds, then use the lint roller and then do the acutal press with the paper. But now I use the lint roller first before the pre-press and I get better results. I think the pre-press was flattening the lint down and it wasn't getting picked up as well by the roller.
