Default Paper trouble. PLEASE help

I've been pressing shirts for a little while now and I've come to realize that i know absolutely nothing about it. I have an Inkjet printer and both hot and cold transfer papers.

I'm trying to get the best quality print for dark fabrics but no matter what kind of paper I use it winds up looking terrible.

I mostly print on black shirts. After I press the shirt theirs always a glossy finish in the background of the image. how do i get rid of that? Even if I were to print the image without having a matching background to the color of the shirt, theirs still a glossy feeling.

I know I can always cut around the design so more fabric shows but i honestly don't have time for it.

Is their a type of transfer paper that ONLY transfers the ink rather then the entire section i cut out??

if so please post a link or store i can get them from

thanks

-ARich

Talking Re: Paper trouble. PLEASE help

thanks so much for the response. aside from the things you mentioned I was wondering if their was any specific type of transfer paper that doesn't require me sending my design to a separate company. I heard of Opaque and Satin transfer and i was wondering the differences are, and where to buy them.

thanks

Arich,
The transfer paper for dark colors that I have tried either require cutting around and in any area that you do not have color on,, and they seem to all share a harder feel to the hand, this is my opinion,,

There is one but not for inkjet printer. It is for laser printer or copier. Check the videos.
