Default Newbie needs help with inkjet on bags

Hi,
I'm new to heat transfer/inkjet printing. I am going to order small 8x9" cotton bags and inkjet print transfers for my girls upcoming birthday parties. I'd like to make cool "goody bags" I was going to order form ingreetings as they seem to have the best pricing and selection. Anyone have experience with them? What material is best? is 100% cotton the best choice? Can anyone recommend a specific brand of transfer paper for an hp officejet all in one printer? Any suggestions welcome!! Thanks so much!!
