Default Best Transfer Paper?

I bought my transfer paper from Pro World. My first two shirts both had the white residue border around it. One of them was washed a few minutes after and it didn't fade that much. Any transfer paper that is better, am I doing something wrong or what is the best way to transfer a design to a shirt?
Thanks in advanced,
Jordan

I've never used Pro World, but JPSS is my paper of choice.

Did you trim around your design before you pressed it?

If the white residue is a concern use Imageclip for inkjet. It is a two step self weeding transfer paper. The residue is removed before it is pressed on the shirt. A B/W mask printed with laser is required to remove the residue. It can be printed with B/W or color laser printer. An alternative to the laser printer is a laser copier that is available in copy depot like Kinko. Print the mask with inkjet printer then have it copied in a laser copier.

Check the link below. There is also a tutorial for making a mask in that thread.

How Imageclip for inkjet test - T-Shirt Forums

I had problem with JPSS. The residue turned yellow on me. Imageclip did not because the residue is practically non existent.

No I did not trim around the design. I'm assuming if I did the white residue/border would show up anyways?

Let me know

If you're applying on a white shirt usually the polymer window doesn't show up too bad unless the shirt is very thin.

When I use JPSS paper I trim as close to the design as possible. If it's a design that can't be trimmed around easily try adding a simple border so you can trim close.

If you have a cutter with an optical eye you can have it cut around your design for you.

Hope this helps!!

Jordan. What color shirt are you using? We also offer the JPSS but we have found that the ClearSoft leaves less residue.

A white 100% cotten heavyweight hanes shirt. Would increasing the temp. do anything?

I don't think so. Hanes is a very loose weave and is not our choice for the best shirt to print. We like Gildan and Anvil.

Alright, I will get a few of those shirts and test out which is best. Which do you prefer of the two? and how much does the residue/border go away?

They are pretty much equal. We find that the ClearSoft background virtually disappears after washings.

Will I can take JPSS and put on any white shirt as long as you trim it.

And can you wash in high heat and dry it on high heat can you wash it in" Bleach" this is what you can do with JPSS and the feel is not that bad and when washing it will go away.

Lot people here where using Clear Soft and change to JPSS and they say it was better.

Jordan can you put in wash with high heat and add Bleach and see what happens and let us know.

There is lot post about JPSS just check and read more from the forum.
