Default inkjet photo transfer

hey guys, first of all like to say thanks in advance. i have a roland gx24, and i've been doing alot of vinyl heat transfers and it's going great(with help from you guys).

i started doing photo inkjet transfers ( i think thats what you call it). i bought the transfers from pro world, and i use my epson 1400 to print photos on it. however when i heat press them it seems to have a clear border residue around the design or photo from the transfer material... even within the photo it seems there is a residue from the transfer that has a rough feel to it.
my question is, is there another company that makes these transfers with less or no material residue.

Jetpro Sofstretch paper for lights is about the thinnest transfer you'll find, and it washes very well. It still leaves a small film on the shirt in spots that the image is not printed, but it is not noticeable after washing, and it's almost impossible to feel the transfer on the shirt.

I agree that JPSS (JetPro Soft Stretch) is the preferred paper for inkjet transfers onto lights.

The issue you speak of may also be a result of the t-shirt itself. If it is a thicker tee, or has a soft "sueded" feel to it, it may be the t-shirt fibers you're feeling there.

After you've pressed, and peeled your transfer, try placing a piece of parchment paper over the design, and press for an additional 10 seconds. That usually does the trick for me.

FYI - You can find parchment paper on the baking aisle of your local supermarket.

Upon review of my answer, I realize I should add that the issue I was referring to here was the rough feel.

Louie, When I print photos on transfers with an Epson C88. I print them borderless, is this an option for you? Mike
