I have recently bought a heat press and am trying to find the best heat transfer paper to use with an inkjet printer. I live in the UK and have found a good stockist for Jetpro Softstretch for Lights. However, I am finding it difficult to find a good stockist for darks. I read that Ironall was the best paper to use for darks but cannot find anywhere to buy except newmillford who charge a lot for postage. Can anyone help?
Re: Where can I buy Ironall transfer paper in the UK?
Hi Natasha,
My question is, are you looking for Ironall Dark in the UK, or both Ironall Light and Ironall Dark? Thanks.
Sometimes a supplier only carries Ironall Light. So in that case, if they have light, they might not be carrying the Ironall Dark. If I find someone, I just want to make sure they carry the Ironall Dark if that is what you are looking for specifically.
Re: Where can I buy Ironall transfer paper in the UK?
I'm also really struggling to find Ironall in the UK, light or dark!
I'm starting to think there just might not be a supplier, other than Milford Photo, who I emailed about their awful postage charges, but didn't get a reply.
Re: Where can I buy Ironall transfer paper in the UK?
There is a supplier for Ironall Light in the UK. His link was added to this thread. I am working on finding out which paper on the site is Ironall, as it is not called Ironall. I don't think he carries Ironall Dark, but I am not sure. I also don't know anything about this supplier, personally, so as with any new supplier, check for yourself if you are comfortable. He seems nice in our recent communications, but I have never dealt with him in a biz transaction.
PS: He also carries JPSS (jetpro sofstretch) and *may* carry Neenah JetOPAQUE, which is JetWear Dark/AlphaGold for Dark. Another popular paper on the forum, besides Ironall Dark.
Leisurewear is I believe the name you will be looking for, and I think there are other European suppliers, tho I am not familiar with them either.
Re: Where can I buy Ironall transfer paper in the UK?
I think Kelly is referring to the link in the thread to the UK site Unionleisurewear who do 'TextileDark' paper, which may be what you're looking for. Unfortunately for me they only sell it in large quantities, which my 2-bit operation can't afford
