Default blue grid dark transfers problem, HELP!!

I have a problem and am looking for some help. We don't do many transfers, but I printed a transfer on NewMilford blue grid opaque paper using an epson 1400, with LD Products ink. After pressing on the transfer with a teflon cover sheet, I did a test wash. It sat in the washer over night. I pulled the shirt out this morning and the ink is bleeding, ran and stained other areas of the print. What did I do wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have a small order I need to get out as soon as possible and due to the number of colors in the print and snall number of pieces they ordered, I can not screen print for a reasonable price.

Is the ink dye water based ink? Dye based will bleed. Pigmented ink is the one to use for heat transfer.

Thanks for the reply. The ink I used was dye based after contacting the manufacturer. Who would be a good supplier for the right ink?

Here are some that is mentioned a lot in the forum:

1) Inkjetcarts.us
2) Inksupply.com
3) Inkjetfly.com
4) Coastal Business Supplies - check the preferred vendors list. Some offers 10% discount to forum members.

Make sure you ask for ink for heat transfer application.

I use inkjetcarts.us ink and refillable cartridge.
