I utilize the information on this site on an almost daily basis.. You guys/girls are an immense help to me. I have a question that I hope you can help me with. I am using the Image Clip for Inkjet Heat Transfer Paper from Neenah and the problem is that when I press the 2 papers together (image clip and then regular copier paper w/the toner on it)
the ink from my transfer paper is transferring to the negative image. There is nothing left on my transfer paper to press onto a shirt.. Do you know what I am doing wrong? Your help is greatly appreciated.

The temp or pressure is probably too high. Check your temp with a thermometer. Or lower it until you get the happy medium. The same with the pressure. Make four images in one sheet then cut them up. Test one piece for each settings that way you do not waste too much transfer paper. Do one variable at a time so you will know which one is affecting the most.

pretty much as above the temp is very critical. lower down to max 100c and work up from their with firm pressue and around 15 seconds. once you get the hang of it will be amazed at how good it looks. also take care of your heat head and bed and ensure both smooth as that can cause spots
we have no known washing issues the hold is very good. re the laser we would only suggest that if you are doing large runs. inkjet is better fro short runs
I have washed 6 times the grey shirt that pressed with Imageclip for inkjet and at the same another shirt with JPSS that was masked with standard printer paper. I have been watching both of them on how much fade after each wash. Both shirt have very little fade and have the same amount of fading. Both shirts still look almost as the day they were pressed. No cracking and have same softness.
David, you don't have to buy a laser printer unless you are planning in using it for other laser transfer papers. I have been telling members to print the mask with inkjet printer then have it photo copied with laser copier. That way it doesn't cost you money for the laser printer and then find out that Imageclip for inkjet is not for you. Ten to fifteen cents a copy is far cheaper than a laser rpinter.

Thanks Gordon and Luis yes I know I don't need one just would like to have for other things now a days you need to be flexible and be Adel to offer more when it comes to printing just don't like to turn down money..

Do you need to use a new laser negative every time?
Or can the same negative be used more than once?
Also when you press the 2 papers together... which one goes on top and which one on the bottom?
Does it work by transfering just the polymere to the black parts of the laser negative so that the transfer paper only has the polymere left on it where the image is?

Thanks,
One mask one transfer. The mask is full of polymer after pressing against the transfer and peeling the two sheets apart. The polymer that is left on the transfer is the unweeded are that has print on it. Press the transfer on top so that the polymer that is not covered by the laser paper will not stick to the upper platen.

So I just tried this paper and I'm having a strange problem.
When I press at the recommended times some of my lazer toner is transfering to the transfer sheet.... the pages even stuck together a little.
but... even though this happened, the polymer remained on the transfer sheet.
so the laser toner is transfering to the imageclip paper, instead of the imageclip polymer transfering to the laser sheet.
i tried lowering the temperature and time... and they prevented the toner from going onto the transfer sheet... but the polymer still wont go to the laser sheet so its not self weeding...
how can i get the polymer to transfer... if i raise the temperature or time it will just cause the laser toner to transfer again and worse...
