Default Heat Transfer Papers

I realize that heat transfer's quality and durability doesn't match up with screenprinting, but with my meager budget for start-up I've decided to start with the transfers and upgrade using our profits.

Are there any recommendations for transfer papers that you could give me? What brands do you use? What's best for white/light shirts and what's best for darks? Which transfers flex well to avoid cracking and peeling?
Which transfers feel the lightest on the shirt?

Sorry to toss so many questions in at once, but I have a bunch of em.

Welcome to the forum Brendan,

Use the search tool at the top of the page. Just type in something like "types of transfer paper" and you will get many hits.

I am sure that each person here has there favorite paper so it would be best to search the different papers here and read about the pros and cons of those papers.

Good Luck!

Katrina

Also the type of paper you get depends on the type of printer you will be using.

Ok, Nice. Thanks. I'll be using an Ink Jet printer. I've read that an Epson Stylus C88+ InkJet is a good low budget start up printer.
