Default Time for heat press

hi: my name is julio, i have a question for you, i'm using jpss and the thing is i didn't know that i had to trim my drawing if i use any other color than white. The thing is that i heat pressed a light kakhi shirt, is not completely white but almost...and y put my heat press (jetpress 12), on 375 degrees and pressed for 25 secs, and my shirt appeared yellow!!!on the polymer residue, i don't know if i fried the shirt, or the paper, or what i did wrong. 'cause i read in the instruccions to heat press for 30 sec.

then i tried a smaller design and only pressed for 7 sec and it did sort of the the job i wanted. Can anyone throw me some light with this, i just started my bussines with the shirt here in my contry. I would really appreaciate your help.

Are you using a non-stick blanket between the heat plate on your and the transfer sheet and garment? You should be placing the shirt, transfer sheet, and then a non-stick silicone blanket and then pressing the image. This might help with the scorching and discoloration.

Parchment paper for baking is an alternative, and so is a teflon sheet, but I think you probably have a different problem going on... you're problem sounds like the one in this thread...

JPSS Jetpro sofstretch polymer turning yellow, anyone else have this problem?

Read this thread and try to figure out if you are having the same trouble as these folks... if you are.. they are working on that yellowing in that thread... good luck to you.
