Those directions in the link will work with Ironall paper, too. I believe, if I remember right, I used to press Ironall at 350*F for 30 seconds, that's the only difference in directions in that link.

Yes, peeling hot, and stretching the image really helps keep
JPSS paper from cracking. Not all people stretch the shirt. Of those people that don't stretch the shirt, not everyone has cracking either. It just happens to some people.
Another time that
JPSS paper can crack is when it is cold peeled, and not reheated and stretched after peeling. For a cold peel, you pretty much *always* have to re-heat and stretch, or tests have shown
JPSS will very likely crack in the first wash. If cold peeling , reheat and stretch after peeling.
If hot peeling, and you don't get cracking you are fine, good to go. If hot peeling and you do get cracking, stretch the image area after the hot peel and repress with something over top, like teflon or parchment paper.
I like the parchment paper with
JPSS because I find that it gives
JPSS a much smoother finish that using teflon or no second press.
I actually stretch the shirt *prior* to my pre-press to remove moisture, I hot peel, I restretch the image area while the
JPSS is still hot/warm, and the re-press... I've not had any cracking on Gildan's, Hanes, Jerzees, or sweatshirts.
Hopefully stretching will work for you, too.
