when peeling jpss off t-shirt - lots of yellow and blue ink are still left on paper (c88+ printer)
Hi there,
I just got my heat press and C88+ printer. I printed on a JPSS paper for light.
The problem I get, is when I peel off the paper, yellow ink and some blue ink are still on the paper. But mostly the whole yellow is still on the paper.
I have had the same problem but only occasionally, just haven't taken the time to track down the cure. Someone on here will know, there is a lot of knowledge, experience and help floating around all of the time!
did you let the jpss dry or use it wet?
Have you pressed before, and is this your first press? If it is your first check your temp and pressure. If you have succesfully pressed other things, and you have let the jpss dry, make sure you prepress your tee, to get moisture out, how old is your paper?

I have had the same problem Bill, Yellow ink stays on the backing paper once peeled. I have heard and read others adjusting their color settings. But my pressed designs look good. Haven't had any problems as yet.

like sandy said I think it is could be the moisture. I tried a bunch of transfers I had already printed last night, even the ones that I had trouble with in the past but this time I pre-pressed really good to get all of the moisture out and they all stuck very good.

Same thing just happened to me as this is the first time I used my heat press and made 5 shirts of the same image. All came out the same with the image in yellow appearing on the peeled paper (there was lots of Green color in the image). The image seems ok to me though. Hmmm. - regina

I've had the same issue to with the yellow staying on the paper, but the printed image looks fine. The problem I had though was my t-shirts seemed scorched. The area that was heat pressed turned out slightly yellow. Any help on this? I'm using the Gildan 2000 100% cotton and the jetpro softstretch. I followed the paper directions of 375 degrees for 30 seconds and the t-shirt looks slightly scorched. Would putting teflon paper help? Will the image still transfer as well with the teflon paper?
thanks

Teflon will help, all presses require different temps,
Mine i have at 375. and 17 seconds jpss peels like butter,,play on a tester shirt, and a piece of a image, with your time, Sandy Jo

That is what I have been reading. I am in the same game with the yellow and wondering do I alter the color profile for the shift or shift back because it does happen. I will go the after market carts soon. What I posted is basically the profiles I have seen on this forum a number of times.

Hi Sandy Jo... there's a fellow testing JPSS at a 10 second dwell time. I see you use a 17 second dwell time... I'm sure they are fine or you would adjust the time.. but stupid question for you....
How are the long term wash results with the 17 second dwell time?
Have you ever used the 30 second dwell time? If yes, do you notice a difference in vibrancy between the 30 second dwell and the 17 second dwell?
