Unhappy help with fading problem

Hi guys. Im a newbie in heat transfer papers, I tried to transfer JPSS using sublimation ink and pigment ink with 100% and 50/50 cotton shirt. I pre-press the shirt for 10 sec. Press the transfer for 30 sec. 180-190c. Hot peel. Then press again for another 10 sec with teflon sheet. The problem is the fading after first wash. Anyone here has encountered this problem? I need help pls.

I use the epson 1400 with the claria type dye inks on a bright white paper setting with JPSS paper and have no problems with fading.

Sublimation ink needs 100% poly tees, pigment ink there should be minimal if any fading.

I think my fading problem is caused by fiber lift, Can anyone help me solve this issue?

I have used sublimation ink with JPSS with no problem and 50/50 shirts should not fiber lift. What is the name on the shirts that you are using?

When using JPSS I have used both pigment ink and sublimation ink with no problems.

I would take one of the 60/40 and try sublimation ink with out JPSS and try to wash it and see what would happen you may like what you see or may be not.

you should not get any bleeding with JPSS but others do have some problems.

From reading this post I clearly must have been using JPSS all wrong. When I printed with it I was using an epson c88+ with durabrite inks, I tried prints on all the settings and I can say that after pressing... the shirt looked wonderful. It has been about 4 months since I last did a shirt with Jpss and those look horrible. I used Gildan t-shirts for all the prints. They were never t-shirts to sell they were for my niece and her friends. I can't say how they were washed either which may be the culprit but when I see my niece and her friends with those shirts on I tell myself that I am glad I did not charge for them because the colors are all washed out.

Even the shirt that I printed for myself is washed out. It had only been washed twice when I noticed the fading and now I use it for a night shirt.

For many to say that JPSS don't fade I must have been using it wrong or got some bad paper because it definitely faded.

Katrina

I just got new transfer paper JPSS in and I have not seen any change in the Transfer paper.

I know there are people out there that will say it is junk but I have all so used other transfer paper that I don,t like so it comes done to what you like and how you press and print
