Default Pressing on recycled, mixed fiber totes work?

I have pressed on cotton canvas bags before, but see an Anvil bag (505 bag, which is described as recycled 70% cotton, 29% acrylic, 2% "Other") and wonder has anyone tried to press on this? Obviously it would take less heat and time than canvas, but I'm worried it would just plain old melt.

Anyone tried these bags out? If so, what time/temp worked for desktop transfers and or comml plastisol?

Thanks a lot!

Clem

I've pressed on what they call "natural canvas" bags before - I can't say what exactly they were made out of, but they did dis-color slightly on a 30-second press at 375 degrees F. Those particular bags were about the same size as my press so it wasn't very noticeable, but it did seem to darken the fibers somewhat.

Yes, you scorched the bags a bit. 30 secs is too long. I got to the point I could do it with no scorch, maybe about 13 secs (after preheating 6 secs.

But the fact these are not cotton, have acrylic in them, that is what worries me.
