Hey there guys,

Was just in my local store and saw a guy laying down some heat transfer designs on a tee. He had 2 seperate parts to the design and was using some tape to keep them in place.

From first glance it looked like what we in the UK would call gaffer tape.

Wondered if anyone else is doing this and what you would reccommend as good tape to use?

affordable

The sell tape that isn't heat sensitive for help with securing the designs and lettering in place. Lots of transfer supply companies sell it

If you have Stahls distributor in your area Stahls sells teflon tape for that purpose.

I use paper adhesive tape from the drug store. If you fold one end over to create a little tab, it make it much easier to remove the tape after pressing.

You can purchase heat tape at any sublimation supply company or on ebay, I use it on hard surfaces eg. tiles, clock face etc. when sublimating so the paper does not lift and drop when i lift the press lid causing ghosting on the finished product
