Okay I have read so much stuff and I'm just trying to get my ducks in a row.I am going to get a Epson1400 and some jpss but what ink? Is the stock ink okay?I have seen pro and cons have they worked out the bugs. I don't plan on setting the world on fire with transfers But I don't like crap either. ooo and whats the best opaque transfers..

The 1400 uses Claria ink, which is dye based. Most folks use JPSS with pigment inks. Although there are some here who uses Claria with that paper.

Do a search at the top of the page on 'claria' for posts.

The stock ink works OK. The big thing is cost, if and when you start printing very much. If you are printing much, a bulk ink system pays for itself in a very short time.
