Default Extension cord for heat press, 20A?

Hello all,
I just received my new Hotronix STX-20 press, and I am very excited to get it up and running. Just one problem, the cord is about 4 feet too short to reach my dedicated outlet. I really don't want to rearrange my work area, as it wood interfere with work flow. So, it looks like I need an extension cord. Reading the manual it states, "do not use extension cords smaller than 12 gauge" (20 amp). I just got back from driving all over town to different hardware stores, etc. but the largest gauge ext cord I cord find is 14 gauge (15amp). I really don't want to take any chances on damaging the new press by using too small of a extension cord.
Any of you pros have any ideas for me on where to get the correct extension cord?

Yes, but as a last resort. Would like to have a sanitary set up.

well you can scrub it down w/ a disinfectant or use new cable and plugs..nice and clean like. I have a few around here ive had to make myself.
How about a tool place? where they sell heavy duty equipment.

Well you may be right, I have been looking on the internet for a 6 foot, 12 gauge ext cord, and the only thing I have been finding is 25, 50, and 100 ft extension cords. No way I'm gona use that!
Think it's time to sharpen up on my MacGyver skills!

Can't believe I found it!
Lurking in the shadows of ebay I found a 12 gauge 6 foot long extension cord!
It would not come up under a standard search, found it under the "pro audio equipment" heading.
If anyone wants to check them out do a google search for "Proco Sound" audio equipment.
They have many different lengths available.
Hope I'm not breaking any forum rules, I was just excited to find 12 gauge (20amp) extension cords that I don't have to hack together myself.
