Default what is consensus on portable/small hot presses

Hi,

I'm starting out with a home based clothing line business, therefore want to keep costs down and space available for equipment is limited. I'm pressing vinyl onto tees, basic designs in one colour.

Can you advise if the below heat press is a good starting off option or should I disregard it and get something bigger and more expensive. A potential drawback with this model is it doesn't seem to have pressure adjustment however on the plus size it is small [A4/Letter size pressing area] and cheap.

eBay.ie: portable swingaway tshirt transfer heat press 30x23 cm (item 280405677409 end time 03-Nov-09 23:39:33 GMT)

Your recommendations are greatly appreciated... great forum.

Bob

The general consensus is to get the largest reliable name-brand (Hotronix, Stahls, Hix etc.) press you can afford. I would stay away from the generic (Chinese mostly) models you find on Ebay and some other sites. They usually are cheaply constructed, not dependable, come with no support or operating manuals and can hurt your business in the long run. Check out Heat Press Machines: Discount T-Shirt Heat Press Transfer Machine<br> for one of the cheapest 15 x 15 presses on the Web.
