Need to Register?

I was not sure where to put this since I could not find heat press material ( I am sure I am overlooking it)

I have a friend that wants to know if heat press vinyl would work on a canvas awning since it is outdoors and will get hot and cold.
Any advice is appreciated.

i did some test pieces on boat top canvas..washed and soaked (in seasalt water) and is holding up great. I think you have to be careful about whether it has waterproofing material added to it.
I have 0 experience with it tho'. just my test piece.

Thanks for the reply, I just found out my friend was actually wanting to know about sign vinyl and I told him that would not work. I thought he wanted to know about heat press which I was not sure about but I know sign vinyl will not work

I am looking to do just this project of a heat press material on a canvas awning...any help would be appreciated

we use both siser and thermoflex and it works great. it will shrink as you press it so if you have multiple colors or an image bigger than your press you will need to take that into consideration.
