Need to Register?

I was not sure where to put this since I could not find heat press material ( I am sure I am overlooking it)

I have a friend that wants to know if heat press vinyl would work on a canvas awning since it is outdoors and will get hot and cold.
Any advice is appreciated.

i did some test pieces on boat top canvas..washed and soaked (in seasalt water) and is holding up great. I think you have to be careful about whether it has waterproofing material added to it.
I have 0 experience with it tho'. just my test piece.

Thanks for the reply, I just found out my friend was actually wanting to know about sign vinyl and I told him that would not work. I thought he wanted to know about heat press which I was not sure about but I know sign vinyl will not work
