Just reading another thread and several users seem very happy with them I had one several years ago and just couldn't get on with it at all. I prefer Adkins and the newStahls look very good, but pricey.

Justin :-)

350 pounds of what?

Just kidding!

I can speak for the Stahls' Hotronix machines...
They are very accurate with temp control and pressure. The digital units have a pressure readout and they offer features such as "Auto Opening" and optional sized lower platens are available. They also support their machines if anything were to go wrong down the road. 5 year warranty on the frame work, 2 years for the electronics , lifetime heater element warranty. Great machines to work with!

If your prospective press is digital, that's a plus. That's not too much money either. But it is three years old.... If you have a chance to work with it before the purchase, jump on the chance! Look at the heater element for scratchs and "mess-ups" like upside down prints that were stuck... and look at the lower platen for wear. Keep in mind though buying used voids the warranty....

Best of Luck!
