Discuss the different brands and sizes of heat presses available on the market, including Hix, GeoKnight, Hotronix, and other smaller manufacturers. Topics include maintenance, selection, styles and more.
Hi, I'm a newbie who's about to purchase my first heat press machine. I found this company named HeatPressNation.com and was wondering if anybody has ever bought anything from them.
They seem to have very reasonable prices and, of course, the customer service guy says their presses are just as good as other name brand presses.
Their brands are HPN (their brand), IllumaPress, and Ricoma.
I'm looking for a 15x15 which they sell for $200 - $380. They have a 16x20 too and they go for $350 - $400.
Prices sound good and the advantage is that I can just drive over there and pick it up (will call) but I'm not sure about these brands.
Anybody have any comments regarding these brands or ever used them?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
(BTW, I'm the merchandise person for our high school football team which is what got me interested in this t-shirt thing)
I would not buy IllumaPress I have hard and seen to many that have problems go to www.sunie.com they are what lot people buy I started out with one and loved it

Hello all, sorry for my late reply to you but the wait was worth it (to me at least). I took all of your suggestions TO AVOID ANY PRESS SOLD BY HEATPRESSNATION.COM seriously. After reading your comments (which probably helped save myself from a BIG headache) I decided not to purchase their heat press.
Instead, I will be sticking to a name brand/reputable dealer. I've heard a lot about McLogan's and I live about 3 miles from one so I'll be heading down there this weekend to see what they've got to offer.
