Default Right pressure setting

Hi! Newbie here...

How do you know if you need to increase or decrease pressure?

Default Re: Right pressure setting

What are you pressing exactly? In dye sub there are several indicators, depends on what you're pressing onto. After a while you just know, by "feel" and by the results you're getting.

In dye sub, coloured fabrics need a lighter pressure as they are affected more by heat than just plain white. You need more pressure if your image is not rich all over and you have a lot of ink still left on the paper after. You can use heavier pressure on heavier fabrics. Pressure is only one element though - you have to fiddle with it until it's right. Make notes about what worked at what settings so you can refer to it later.

Anyway, that's the dye sub story.
