Default Cap Press Decision

As many small business owners, I am poor...lol. I want to purchase a cap press. Brand new it will hurt me and I don't want to put myself in a bind. Of course the hit and miss craiglist has a couple of Cap Presses. One is a Hix B250, they want $550.00. I know Hix is a reputable company. I have a Hix heat press. $550.00 is a little steep right now. There are also two cap presses a lady is selling. She said they are Instagraphics and they are 10 years old she wants $100.00 each. The other is $100.00 as well and the listed brand name is Discount TLC Products model #102390 (not sure how old it is). I looked up Instagraphics and I was able to find a company website. But I cannot find out anything on Discount TLC Products. Do any of you know or have any information on this brand? Also, with the Instagraphic press being so old not sure if they are a good lasting brand and if it's worth it. The last one listed is a Hotronix thats $300.00 which is still ouch but feasable. They do not have the model listed and I didn't see anything on Hotronix website that looks like it but you can see the Hotronix label in the pic of the press they are selling.

Decisions ...decisions ...decisions and scared to make the wrong one. Becasue there could be a chance that there are cold spots on the older unfamiliar presses.

Thanks to who ever reads this and gives me their opinion and any info.

Sandy

Test them out would be the best way to no for sure. I purchased a Hix press used off of Ebay 3 years back. This thing is so old that I believe it must have been the first model off the assembly line. I got it for $80 and it works like new.
Both Instagraphics and hotronix are good companies and I think either press will do you proud. If you are able to test them i would definetely do that just to make sure they are in working condition.

Thanks Katrina. I never heard of Instagraphics before. What do you suggest for testing? Everything I have in my shop I bought new except for my plotter. I heard the term cold spots. How would I be able to tell? Would I have to apply a heat transfer on a hat and try and peel it off?
