Angry heat press temp climbs up...

i bought an off brand cheapy for 150 (newbie) and when i set the temp. my heatpress often goes above what i have set...for example) just to test the temp. (i have not actually used it for dye sub.) i set the temp to 175 celces and when it climbed up there the green light (the out light, whatever that means) wwnt off but then it came back on it went all the way up to 182 and kept shuting off every two seconds. how do i make my heat press stay at the temp it needs to be?

one day i will get a good heat press but for now im just trying to start this up.

Its not unusual for a press to go above where you set it when it warming up, but it should come down to where you have it set. Then it will cycle on off to maintain that temp. Less expensive brands don't always use the best parts so you will need to use a heat gun and adjust the temp accordingly
Good luck, John.

If the time comes and you one day want to replace this machine... I just want to post a thread for a less expensive press, but one that seems to be having success by the users on the forum. Here is a poll of it's owners:

Sunie / Seiki / Transpro Press Owners: Are you happy with your press, would you buy it again? Yes or No. Thx =)

There's presses that fluctuate like that, especially the cheapy brands, theres no way you can make your temp stay where you want it... I had a sunie that fluctuated about + or - 6 degrees and pressed with no problems, about the clicking noise or where you say is shutting off, it's normal. Also you should be pressing in farenheight instead of celcius. I hope i spelled that right. lol
