Smile New with Heat Press

Hi Everyone,
I'm Ari & I'm new
I'm thinking seriously about starting a Tee-Shirt Business with my 15 year old son . My son knows more about this than I do & he suggested the clamshell (that's the one he know's how to operate) . I've read a ton of material and I'm shopping around for a heat press now. I started out looking for a heat press , then I discovered EBAY & realized they have Heat Presses for cheaper. As someone just starting out what is better those really expensive ones or the ones on ebay that's affordable. I really don't want to invest several thousands right off hand before business is booming. Can someone please help. All Advice is welcomed.
Thanks,
Ari

OK with heat presses. I wanted a clamshell style. THEY ARE ALL EXACTLY THE SAME, only difference is how they close. I got a Geo-Knight and it is a swing away. I love the thing for my clothing line, but I am not doing custom bulk shirts on it. I am investing into screen press for that. This will also teach you something along with your son, and give you both quality time together. And go on youtube and watch heatpressing videos. Remember with Dark Transfer Paper you cut the image out. I prefer an Exacto knife and a clipboard under it! Have fun....

Bobby did the smart thing and got a brand name heat press. They are built better and will last alot longer. Their is one cheaper one that has gotten some decent reviews, it is the sunie press and I believe proworld sells it for a good price. They are a sponsor here and have a link on the left in the preferred vendors list. If you have to buy a cheaper one then that is the one, I would probably recommend the sunie since others have had some luck with it. The best brands though are going to be the most dependable and last the longest. Also with the cheap ones from ebay, if anything goes wrong with it, you may be hard pressed to find good customer service in getting it replaced or repaired.

I agree that you should buy a name brand heat press.
I made the mistake of buying one of those on ebay and it was garbage. Luckily, they let me return it and I got my money back.
I've got a Geo Knight clamshell on the way now.
Pay now or pay later.

You can never go wrong with quality.
