Angry Powerheatpress.com Cord burnt out

I purchased the 4 in 1 Digital Heat Press Machine T-Shirt Transfer Machine Black from powerheatpress.com.

The cords are very close to the pole, when the arm turned the cords made a connection and burnt out.

I have tried to contact the powerheatpress.com but the phone is busy and they have yet to return an e-mail.

Is there any way I can purchase a new cord? Please let me know ASAP my students are in a hurry to complete their projects.

Thanks
Steven

I don't see why you couldn't get a new cord and install it.
The only downside might be that your warranty could be voided.
If they warranted it.
Otherwise, just make sure that you get a cord rated for the amps and maybe see if you couldn't do some adjustments so that you won't have that rubbing issue again.

Hi Steven,

Go to a Home Depot, Lowes, or similar. I'm thinking in addition to telling them what amp rating you're looking for, also see if they have cords that are more heat resistant.

I meant to add, that tell them (at Lowes or wherever...) that you want a replacement appliance cord, rated at x amps (look and see what your heat press amp rating is, not what the burnt out cord is....just in case they put an underated cord on it.

Tired HomeDepot, Ace Hardware but have not tried Lowe's yet.
Do you happen to know a fix-it place that I might be able to take it too?

Where are you located Steven ?
You could also look up appliance stores and call them and ask if they have replacement cords.
As long as you can access the transformer box (where the cord attaches) there should just be a couple screws to undo to access, then just three wires to hookup.
Just pay attention to what color goes where.........it won't be hard, you can do it.
If you don't want to do it yourself, any electrician could do it or even a friend that you know that's replaced a fixture in their home.

no worries.
