Discuss the different brands and sizes of heat presses available on the market, including Hix, GeoKnight, Hotronix, and other smaller manufacturers. Topics include maintenance, selection, styles and more.
I don't see why you couldn't get a new cord and install it.
The only downside might be that your warranty could be voided.
If they warranted it.
Otherwise, just make sure that you get a cord rated for the amps and maybe see if you couldn't do some adjustments so that you won't have that rubbing issue again.

Go to a Home Depot, Lowes, or similar. I'm thinking in addition to telling them what amp rating you're looking for, also see if they have cords that are more heat resistant.
I meant to add, that tell them (at Lowes or wherever...) that you want a replacement appliance cord, rated at x amps (look and see what your heat press amp rating is, not what the burnt out cord is....just in case they put an underated cord on it.
Where are you located Steven ?
You could also look up appliance stores and call them and ask if they have replacement cords.
As long as you can access the transformer box (where the cord attaches) there should just be a couple screws to undo to access, then just three wires to hookup.
Just pay attention to what color goes where.........it won't be hard, you can do it.
If you don't want to do it yourself, any electrician could do it or even a friend that you know that's replaced a fixture in their home.
