Sunie / Seiki / Transpro Press Owners: Are you happy with your press, would you buy it again? Yes or No. Thx =)
A common question on the forum is: Is this a good press? I am hoping this poll will help answer that question, with real owner feedback.
Hi Sunie / Seiki / Transpro Heat Press Owners,
Well, there have been Sunie (aka Seiki or Transpro) Press Owners on the boards for a while now. I am wondering if we can get a quick poll from the current and past owners on how you like, liked or don't like, your Sunie - Seiki - Transpro Press.
**Will you please vote in the poll if:
1. YES, you are happy with your press and you would buy one again, or
2. NO, you are not happy with your press and wish you bought something else.
**Optional: After you vote, if you would be so kind as to post below:
Your Model
Your Press size
Your Supplier
If you voted yes or no in the poll.
The best feedback is from the owners themselves! So, thanks so much if you take part in the poll. Hope this helps those doing research before their purchase.

Reason: added additional names the press is sold under, seiki and transpro
re: Sunie / Seiki / Transpro Press Owners: Are you happy with your press, would you buy it again? Yes or No. Thx =)
sunIE is the distributor and the heat press' "real/brand" name is Seiki .
(if I am not mistaken) SunIE.com
...but most people call it a "sunie" heat press! LOL...I do too!!!
Your Sunie Model: HP4801
Your Sunie Press size: 15x15
Your Supplier: bought from sunIE on ebay
If you voted yes or no in the poll...I voted YES!!!!
I love my sunIE press!
It does run a little on the cool side but I adjust the temp.
If you are going to buy off of ebay...get the sunIE press!
(I also have a HOTRONIX 16x20 draw press and love that too!)

I voted YES. I love my 15 x 15 SunIE/Seiki HP4801 that I received on 12/15/2008 from Iron-On Transfers, Heat Press Machines, T-Shirt Printing Supplies - Pro World
I do have a question that I emailed ProWorld about yesterday and will wait for their answer. It is
probably a newbie issue. Their customer service so far has been great.
I've had so much fun with the press. It is as easy as plugging it in, set the temperature and set the timer. The pressure is a turn knob that you have to guess at but I'm getting a feel for it by how the press closes.
Great poll Kelly.

Ashamutt is correct...Sunie in Carson City Nv is the distributor of Seiki heat presses...I purchased mine from them about 8-9 months ago I think..no problems so far heat seems to be accurate...but with the 3 yr warranty, I can by a press from them every 3 years for 9 years before I spend the amount for a big name press...and I don't think I will be doing this in 9 years...gotta retire sometime

I can't remember the model number of the press I owned, but I was among the first here to give it a try and report back on how it operated for me. (that thread is STILL going on almost a year later)
Anyhow, mine was a 15x15 press, purchased from Sunie on Ebay for under $300 shipped to my door.
It was a great press, did everything I asked of it, and held fairly accurate temps, as far as I could tell.
The one problem I encountered was the fuse they used inside. It wasn't up to snuff, and consequently, had a meltdown in the middle of a job. Someone had posted a way to fix that, with a $3 fuse from the hardware store. However, when it broke down on me, I had no time to play around with it, and ordered a Mighty Press and never looked back.
Now, if I had the time to work on that press and fix the fuse issue, I'd probably still be using it. BUT, I'm just not that patient, and instead opted to send it to the landfill. LOL
I would, however, purchase again, because since mine melted down, I've heard of no such reoccurrences with others who have purchased the newer models. For the money, you really can't beat that press. And it's a GREAT backup press/mobile press if you need something for those reasons.

Thank you to everyone who has taken part in the poll and thread. I agree with Bob, it is nice to get the real answers. It's a yes or no question, so in fairness, Sunie is really looking like a great deal. PS: Charles, you know when I think you'll retire, remember? "He stopped loving her today..."
Thanks again, everyone. It'll also be nice to have this thread to direct folks to when they ask about the Sunie. You guys are great - I may have started it, but it's you guys who are *writing* it.

I'm pretty new to this and i've only had my press up and running for a few weeks but i've advanced pretty quick with it. WHile i do love it i do wish it had a pressure indicator and auto release so i do see a new press in the future.
Now i've only printed about 75 items so far so it hasnt been really tasked yet, but so far so good!
I also call it a "sunie press" but it's actually a Hengxing (Seiki) SK-HPS- 15x15
I purchases it directly from Sunie.
I made a video using my "Sunie" and posted it in the Heatpress and Heat Transfer section. Check it out!

I voted yes, and I have had no issues with my press. I even purchased the 34' cutter that they sell. The software that comes with it sucks and directions are non-existent but overall it works great.
I bought the heat press around the end of 2006. It has paid for it self many times over. I recently purchased a HIX Swing-A-Way thanks to Rodney & Alpha Supply and being the 3rd place winner in the Alpha Supply giveway last year. It is a great press but it does not get much use.
Maybe I am just stuck in my old ways and each time I start an order I find myself heating up old faithful...my SunIE.
