Hi ,
I'm planning the start tshirt heat transfer business
I find some none famous presses on ebay size 15x15 , prices are excellent as a sample $ 269 shipping cost included but I ' m worry about item quality and usefully at this point , i posted brand name and ebay item # below , if someone has any experience or knowlodge on this press please share with me , I 'll make 80 piece transfer job per day , do you think so non auto type of presses convinion for this job ?
I would be really careful of buying one of these cheap heat presses. The problem with alot of them is uneven heat and not so great customer support. If you buy a name brand press usually the heating element has a lifetime gaurentee on them. They also are made really well and cold spots are very unusual in the name brand presses. If you plan on doing 80 shirts per day, I would definately buy the equipment that will support that volume. You will want something that is going to hold up well and a name brand press such as Hix or stahls will do that for you. Even if you have to find a used one, you will be better off with a used name brand over a new cheap one. Hope this helps.
There is one brand that is a cheap brand that some seem to have had luck with, its called sunie and I do believe it is also sold on ebay. If you search in the top search box here for sunie, you will find a link to a thread that others who have bought this brand have giving reviews.

thanx i was also interested in heat presses and now these will be on my list. how would i know if these people will be at teh long beach convention going on on jan 23. Ruia
The long beach show is a great place to buy a press. Not only are all the name brands sold there but if you talk to them early on in the show, ask them about the demo specials they will have. They usually sell the ones they bring as demos at the end of the show for really great discounted prices. That way they dont have to haul them back with them Most are sold thru resellers there such as coastal supply and others that sell heat press and transfer materials. The Long beach show is a great place to get a great deal on a press

I started to buy one off ebay. I asked the seller to disclose the brand. He seemed hesitant. So I used photoshop to zoom in. I found XMTE followed by Chinese characters. I was also suspicious that the photos of the manual were a different color than the actual product. I have learned to always type in "Review of" whatever I want to buy in Google.
When Idid this on the XMTE press, I saw a few horror stories. Don't take my word for it though. Contact pressdoctor.com. Give them a call and they will tell you horror stories of American companies that slap their sticker on Chinese presses that they can't get parts for.
My Made in the USA Knight DK20 arrives UPS tommorrow. Do your homework. Read the reviews!!!
