Discuss the different brands and sizes of heat presses available on the market, including Hix, GeoKnight, Hotronix, and other smaller manufacturers. Topics include maintenance, selection, styles and more.
I run a youth organization - 60 teams, 12 per team.
I was quoted $2 to add numbers to the back of shirts ($1440) and an $2 for sponsor names added to the back (another $1440).
I believe that I can buy numbers in bulk for approximately $300.
I think I could also by "gang" sheets for my 60 sponsors - assume this would run at least another $300 tops?? I need some help understanding how much it would cost for transfer sheets.
My thought is that I could buy a heat press and press them. I am looking at a Mighty Press 15x15 (ballpark $700).
So I would spend 1300 vs 2900 and have the press to print spirit wear and to do our uniforms each year.
Am I off base? Is the Mighty Press overkill for what I need?

Jim. I don't think that the prices that you received is unreasonable but you can certainly 'do it yourself' if you have the time and the manpower. The Mighty Press is an excellent machine (our top domestic seller). It's a good idea to have some extra shirts on hand in the event that you have any misprints.

Thanks Ed - so my cost estimates for numbers and sponsor sheets appear to be in the ballpark?
