Just wondering,I am kinda new to heat pressing and before did it out of my house.now am moving to a public location and have some craft shows to do.is it ok or how many of you leave your press on all day or 4,5,6 hrs or so. Or is it better off to turn it on and off beteween pressings.I think the longest I have left it on was hour and a half or so.thanks guys as always
When you are in a situation where you will need your press sporadically (or hopefully regularly) during the day, leave it on. Our press is on for 10-12 hours at time at our shows.
If you have specific jobs to do during the day, then it might be more efficient to heat it up, complete your orders, then shut down till next session. This is what I do at home, as I normally complete all my orders in one or two sittings during the day.
Same as Grey... sometimes, I run it for a full day.. other days are printing, etc... and small batches... here and there... and it'll go on and off... depending if I have that time to pre-heat again... or if the room is "chilly" - I just leave it on. Nothing makes for a better space heater!! hehe.
