Default A learning experience in Georgia

Alright, so I'm still pretty new to decorating apparel. My partner and I have been screen printing for a little while now, but are looking to buy a heat press. The problem is neither of us really have a clue of where to start. Do I need a plotter/cutter? Can I just print transfers on my Epson 1400? Are there certain transfers for dark/light garments? I have these and a million other questions. I am looking for someone who wouldn't mind me driving by there shop and just seeing what's actually involved and answering some basic questions for me. I live in West-Central Georgia and am pretty close to Atlanta, Columbus and Macon. If anyone wouldn't mind taking the time out for a newbie, I would certainly appreciate it.
