1) Has anybody used the digital transfers from Silver Mountain Graphics? What was the quality?
I haven't used them, but others have. If you search "Silver Mountain" you will return threads from those talking about them. "Silver transfers" might bring back additional threads as well.

2) When they state Inkjet paper for whites/ lights, what is the range in color? Example white through ???
Honestly, white, and the rest will depend on the color of the shirt vs. the colors in the design.
If the lightest color in the design is not darker than the shirt, it may easily be tinted by the shirt color. As well, any white in the design will appear as the shirt color.
The darker colors do well on pastels, but this is mostly a case by case basis, depending on shirt color and design colors. Dark designs on pastel shirts obviously have a higher acceptable success rate than the other way around.

3) When you preheat the platen, is it recommended that you preheat the shirt?
I pre-heat my press a full 10 to 15 minutes, in the open position, with no shirt on the platen.
Once the press is ready, I give the shirt a pre-stretch, place it on the press, roll it with a sticky lint roller, close the press and pre-heat the shirt 5 seconds or so, let the shirt cool a little so the heat transfer doesn't begin to melt when I try to position it.

4) In this industry, what does "weeding" mean?
When vinyl is cut, or heat transfer paper is cut, to remove the extra vinyl or paper that is not being used in the design, removing the ''extra'' is called weeding. Most commonly, something like a dental pick is used to do this.

5) What is the best way to store inkjet/plastorial transfers?
In a ziplock bag away from humidity and heat sources.
Good luck to you.
