Discuss the various aspects of heat press technology. Transfer paper, inks, plastisol transfers, vinyl cutters, printers, commercial usage, durability, suppliers, etc.
I have the Might 15x15 along with the C88+ printer and I've only printed t-shirts to this point. Can I press to ceramic tiles with a clamshell type press or only with a swing-arm style press? Can I just use the transfer paper I use for light shirts? Is there anything else to consider?
You will get the best results with a swing away because the platen is going straight up and down. The problem with the clam shell is, if the platen is not perfectly square with the piece, you will get inconsistent results. That's why a swing away works better because you get a consistent evenness across the platen.
One thing you may want to consider as well is a neoprene cover (I believe this is what it's called). This will push the material around edges better and it gives a more consistent heat transfer.

The Mighty Press or any Hotronix manufactured clamshell should do a fine job on tiles. These presses actually have a patented flotational top platen, that allows the heat surface to meet the tile with an even pressure, just like a swingaway would. However, your printer needs to have the proper sublimation inks as well as the polymer coated tile in order to work.
