Discuss the various aspects of heat press technology. Transfer paper, inks, plastisol transfers, vinyl cutters, printers, commercial usage, durability, suppliers, etc.
I just did one test with some cheap (well not that cheap) transfer paper from Staples...Transfer for Light Fabrics.. Is it supposed to be really smooth and cracked (after washing)?
Also, is anyone doing mostly inkjet heat transfers? What is selling best for you and do you have any cool samples?

what are the best transfer paper that you guys are finding works for t-shirts?
I don't think there is a universal "best", but in reading through some of the posts in this forum (or searching for paper, recommend), you'll find that Transjet II and Miracool/Ironall paper are mentioned as quality papers.

Solmu.. I'm using a small JP-12 heat press... but, i'm finding that even if you're doing light colored fabrics it looks better with a dark transfer... I like the way the dark transfers look and feel waaaaaay more then the light.. but i'm a total newbie!
Re: Transfer for Light Fabrics.. Is it supposed to...
Some people do prefer the feel of opaque transfers... there's no real right and right when it comes to personal preference. Maybe do some tests with your target audience to see what they think of them. If they like them too, you can always stick with that.
You might get results you're happier with with different paper though, so if you haven't already it might be worth giving Transjet II a try.
