Discuss the various aspects of heat press technology. Transfer paper, inks, plastisol transfers, vinyl cutters, printers, commercial usage, durability, suppliers, etc.
Does anyone have any tried and true tips on pressing multiple layers of vinyl on tshirts?(time, temperature, pre pressing etc..) I have a hotronix heat press(16x20) and am using spectra vinyls for the moment. I've found that their instructions for the first layer don't seem to get the layer to adhere very well and have upped the time on that step.
Just looking for tips and ideas-what has worked well for you and what hasn't.
Just a note-I've been happy w/ the quality of spectra vinyls so far, not sure yet about thermoflex(difficulty peeling-which thanks to all the posts on the forums I've fixed now).
Re: Any tips on pressing multiple layers of vinyl?
I've only used multiple layers for names and numbers on backs of sweatshirts. It seems to be a trend in our area, so I want to get it done right.
I agree more than two would be pretty thick.
