Discuss the various aspects of heat press technology. Transfer paper, inks, plastisol transfers, vinyl cutters, printers, commercial usage, durability, suppliers, etc.
I bought a new heat press last week, its has the tshirt press a cap press and a mug press as different attachments, the first few 2 days everything is great, but now the tshirt press wont heat up over 75dg, and it should go up to 170dg, it worked perfectly for 2 days now this, i swapped the attachments over and they work fine and go to the correct temp, i looked at the tshirt attachment and there semms to be a small scratch mark on the plate itself, but i dont know if this can be causing the problem, there also seems to be a small cut in one of the electric wires going to the atttachment aswell, however this is very small and doesnt go into the wire itself.
PLEASE SOMEBODY HELP ME...
Can the scratch mark cause the heating problem and if so how do i fix it.. ????????
I almost bought one of those, but my sales rep told me not to because they weren't that good. I would definitely contact the place you bought it from and have them fix or replace it.
I agree with Marsha, If you just bought it, it should be covered. If you are already having problems with it this soon, I would not take a chance that it will die on you. I would contact the seller and ask for a replacement.

Just want to thank everyone for there advise. as my first time on a forum i have to say i will be back, hopefully not with problems but with advise.
I managed to fix my press with the help of an electrician, as i live in spain most companys shut for 2 to 3 weeks during august, so i couldnt even contact the company till the end of month. Anyway he found a small wire inside the plate was loose, we he said it was very badly made, but in other language that i cannot repeat on this site. So all good and well now.
Anyway my first advise to everyone is.
WHEN YOU BUY A PRESS DONT GO CHEAP BECAUSE THERE CRAP: SPEND THAT LITTLE EXTRA AND YOU WILL BE ABLE TO GO SLEEP WELL AT NIGHT:
