Cool Art work this is the tough part

Applying the transfers and using the different papers is the easy part. Just starting out I find the most difficult part is the grafics programs. I bought a seiki tech vinyl cutter that does contour cutting, cutter came with flexi starter and I have corel draw and Adobe photoshop. can anyone help with pointers on setting this all up? Thanks

Hi Joe,
These machines do not come with coherent instructions and the users manual is non-existent so when setting it up you pretty much are flying by the seat of your pants.

There should be one sheet of paper that will guide you through the process of getting things set up as far as getting the cutter installed on your computer but from my understanding the plug in is only available for Corel Draw. If you are using Illy or Photoshop you have to import the file into the program.

Also I never was able to get the Flexi program to work with the cutter so I ended up purchaseing Signcut so I can't help you on that one.

Katrina

Also FYI...If you did not get the extended warranty I suggest that you do. There has been a big issue with the machines breaking months after purchase and the seller refusing to do anything about it. Several people are trying to get a lawsuit against this guy. Google Seikitech ripoff and I think you will find it. I got a letter last month asking me to jin the fight and of course I did as my cutter broke 1 week after the free warranty expired.

I can help you with Corel Draw but I'm not familiar with your brand of cutter. I do all of my design work in Corel and import the file into my cutting program. Works like a charm.

No need to import with this cutter when using CorelDraw there is a plug in available. All you have to do is click a button on the menu bar and it opens in the cutting software.

Wow, that's much better than how I have to do it. Still, it always amazes me how people use different programs and cutters to accomplish the same things. It really is true...where there's a will there's a way!
