Can I use any heat transfers on burnout tees?

Smile Can I use any heat transfers on burnout tees?

Hi
I want to start designing my own burnout tees. I have selected the tees but am wondering if any heat transfers will work or do I need to stick with rhinestones and "burnout" tee transfers. Also, which press would be the best to purchase for the burnout tees.
Thanks so much!!!!

I think any brand name heat press would work for heat transfers on burnout tees. I don't think there would be any special type of press that you'd need to look for.

It depends on the final look you're going for.

Plastisol transfers would probably work on burnout tees (I've seen plastisol screen printing done on burnout tees and it looked fine).

However, the burnout tees are very light weight and sometimes see through in parts, so the parts where the plastisol transfer was at wouldn't be seethrough.

A vinyl transfer might work as well, but the same opaque look would be there.

You could always get a sample pack from one of the many plastisol transfer vendors once you have your heat press and do some tests. That may be the best way to see if the results fit your needs.
