If you are trimming as close (1/8th") as possible to the image there should be very little polymer left behind. That said I tell the customer up front and show a sample of before and after so they know what to expect. I have sold many
JPSS shirts and had nobody has complained. Most of the ones I have done are what I call "fun" shirts. The are used once (family re-union, special event etc) and then become a casual shirt.
Make a sample shirt with a few colors in the design. Cut the shirt in half and wash one side. Thenyou can show the customer what to expect.
JPSS is a good product but it has some limitations as far as fading.
