How old it is depends on when it was manufactured. For a pretty good idea of what it's worth you can visit a few forum sponsors to see what it runs for new.

You should expect to pay roughly 3 times less the cost of a new press for an older used one. Don't pay much more than that.

The press should be fairly good; large size plus Hix brand name is decent enough to go off of.
