Default business paln question

I am trying to start a t shirt business and I wanted to know if I can be successful if I use vinyl and inkjet transfers only, no screenprinting. Thank You in advance.

Hi Art,

People here have been successful with that biz plan. When you get to vinyl, since you have a cutter, you can add other things like signs, banners, decals, etc. That way your equipment can help you have more earning opportunities.

Some people have this set up, and then just outsource their screen print orders, rather than turn them away, or become screen printers themselves.

It can be done. Marketing, and then quality, are probably bigger factors than your actual product line. You can have the good screen printed shirts and unless people know about them, you won't have a successful biz with that either. Best wishes.

Art , You can be succesful with any process you want to do, if you vinyl cut you will be able to do dark shirts,, ink jet transfers will let you do light shirts, it is a great place to start,
Great luck,
Sandy jo

I agree with the other posters here. It is a great place to start. Just make sure you have a relationship with a contract screener for the larger jobs and it will get you into business. Who knows where it will lead?
