Discuss the various aspects of heat press technology. Transfer paper, inks, plastisol transfers, vinyl cutters, printers, commercial usage, durability, suppliers, etc.

back on topic, there are a lot of peeps here that could give you more info but they must be busy with sales etc.... the ones that aere here now may not be up to par to offer it, thats the reason why... i think.
if I find out more info, i will send you an email.
I have Epson ink, using the cheapest paper from staples, it cracks, but the shirt does not run....??
I think if you use cheap paper, that will make it more likely to crack.
There is a glossy overlay type transfer that you can press on designs to make them shinier, but I don't know if it will make a cheap transfer paper more durable. I think like most things, it will probably help to start with a good foundation (foundation in this case being a quality transfer paper).
Thanks Rodney, just throwing ideas around, I have the paper that gives it the shine, but I remember back in the day, a rubber type sealer that goes on top?
I have coastal's sample pack, going to play with the trans tonight, this was reccomened as "commerical" paper better then the cheap stuff..
Dye ink, not running...strange?...anyone...anyone....
I answered this in another thread. Dye inks from Epson are placed on the paper by way of electro magnetic impulse not thermal heat as HP. Thus it does not heat the ink. so epson dye inks tend to be more color fast.

Ok so what does that mean, good or bad, sorry can’t decipher this strange transfer language you’re using?
Color fast means they stick better....correct, so Lou does that mean that Epson dye inks will work without running?
Tried to find your post where you explain this I couldn’t find it... thanks for all the help.
